Evaluation Design and Execution
We work with clients to develop rigorous evaluation approaches involving quantitative and qualitative methods. We are well-versed in issues of Institutional Review Boards, participant consent, and data access and sharing across many different types of organizations and data sources. We have accessed data sources including corporate HR records,Unemployment Insurance benefits, UI quarterly earnings, public assistance including SNAP and TANF, WIOA client records, K-12 and postsecondary student information systems, non-profit client records, and surveys.
We work with clients on a wide variety of projects including large-scale multivariate statistical analyses, labor market studies involving administrative and primary data collection, survey design and implementation, and GIS mapping and spatial analysis.
We help clients assess return-on-investment for case-making and continuous improvement purposes.
New Growth conducted a rigorous impact evaluation of Skills for Chicagoland’s Future programs and services. The project utilized a quasi-experimental design and incorporated data from the client’s database and state records for unemployment insurance, wage records, SNAP and TANF benefits, and an extensive participant survey.
